Cooking Art was birthed in the 1980's as a culinary school in Singapore’s Bukit Timah district. Under the directives of its Wilton School of Cake Decorating-trained founder, Kim Sim, Cooking Art soon became one of Singapore’s premium cooking schools – known for its wide repertoire of cooking courses taught by well-known professional teachers.
The mid-90s saw Cooking Art enter a new arena to meet rising needs for a first-rate local dessert supplier for Singapore’s hotel industry. Using the wealth of culinary expertise garnered from her acclaimed cooking school days, Cooking Art went behind the scenes, manufacturing confectionaries to support the demands of the booming local food industry.
Since then, Cooking Art has been supplying Singapore’s top hotels with local and international speciality desserts, pastries and wedding cakes. She also has had the privilege of partnering with Singapore’s best pastry chefs on projects like the Raffles Hotel for its overseas Singapore food promotions and with the Ritz Carlton Millennia on its wedding fairs.
With over 20 years worth of experience, Cooking Art has quietly established herself as Singapore’s dessert specialist.
